Young defender faces long spell out
Young Utd full-back, Harry Amass, is in recuperation after being struck down with a serious injury with Norwich City. He was coming to the end of a training session with his new club when he went down with the condition. It is reported to be a hamstring issue.
The 18-year-old defender had returned to the club upon the end of his loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday. He had featured 21 times for the struggling Owls and scored once. He had also been named as club player of the month twice.
Norwich were the ones to beat others to the punch to secure his loan until the end of the season two weeks ago. He came off the bench to make his debut in the Canaries win over Coventry City. That was his only game so far.
Norwich manager, Paul Clement, did not specify the nature of the injury when speaking to BBC Radio Suffolk. He stated: “Harry, in the dying seconds of training, got an injury. I didn’t want to speak too much about it straight after training because there was no assessment yet about it.
“But it looks to be serious and that he will be out for a long time.”
It has not been confirmed yet as to how long he will be out for or whether he returns to Old Trafford for assessment.
All at Simply Red wish him the best in his recovery process.
