A look at how the on-loan reds have been getting on

The leagues across Britain and Europe are up and running. Here is a look at how they got on.

Europe

Celta Vigo played out a scoreless draw away to Elche. It is their fourth draw on the road. Both sides had chances to claim the win, but neither were able to find the finishing touch. Vigo remain in midtable as a result. Altay Bayinder was on the bench.

Andre Onana‘s Trabzonspor continued their good form with a convincing win away to Samsunspor. All three goals were in the first half to keep them in the chasing pack. They were even able to overcome going down to ten players in the second half.

It was another tough afternoon for Lausanne Sport. They lost again in the league to go bottom of the table. A penalty proved to be the difference at St. Gallen. Sekou Kone was suspended after his red card in the previous game.

EFL

Ethan Wheatley was left out of the matchday squad as Lincoln City lost at Sheffield United. The promoted side were holding their own until they conceded just before the break. Two more in the second half took any chance away from them. It was a blow after the good form they had shown prior to the break.

Dan Gore was absent from the matchday squad as Luton Town had a dominant win over Wycombe. Two goals in each half was justly deserved for a display that showed their ability. They have moved within a few points of the playoffs now.

It was a bad day at the office as Rotherham Utd lost their unbeaten home record. Having gone in front early on, Alex Bruce’s side let in four goals to the promotion chasers. The Yorkshire side have struggled since relegation last year. Jayce Fitzgerald came off the bench in the 84th minute, but the damage was done at that point.

Scottish League

Jacob Devaney came off the bench as Hibernian lost at Dundee United. It marked the first game in charge for Marink Reedijk. Unfortunately, it was much of the same in terms of what had gone before. The visitors only came to life upon the introduction of a triple sub including Devaney. In their attempts to equalise, they left themselves open at the back. This resulted in the young midfielder receiving a red card for a professional foul.

Dundee continued their decent form with a win at Falkirk. A goal in the final minute allowed them recover from an early concession to claim all three points. Dundee were lacking numbers due to injury. As a result, Jack Moorhouse was missing from the squad due to injury.

Greenock Morton claimed their first win of the season at Arbroath. It was a game that had plenty of incidents. involved two red cards, a penalty and a delay due to a medical emergency. Elyh Harrison was unable to prevent the home side from pulling a goal back, but they managed to hold on. It has lifted them off the bottom of the table.

Non League

Southport went down to yet another league defeat. They went down to Harborough Town to drop into the relegation zone. A goal from the home side after nine minutes proved to be the difference. Honor Soloman was not involved in the matchday squad.
