A look at how the on-loan reds have been getting on

The leagues across Britain and Europe are up and running. Here is a look at

Europe

Altay Bayinder Celta Vigo dropped more points as they drew with Malaga. They looked to be on course for their first win of the season against one of the sides below them. An equaliser with seven minutes to denied them though. Bayinder remained on the bench.

Andre Onana‘s Trabzonspor lost away to bottom half Konyaspor. The home side conceded after two minutes and held on to claim the win. Trabzonspor had the majority of the possession, and more efforts on goal, but were unable to find the necessary breakthrough. It does little for their hopes of involvement in the title race this season.

Lausanne Sport lost at home to Servette to deepen their gloom. There was not much between the sides in the Lake Geneva derby, but the visitors came away with the points. A second half penalty proving to be the difference. Sekou Kone played the full 90 and did well for himself. He saw one shot saved, won all his tackles and had a strong passing record.

EFL

Ethan Wheatley did not feature in the matchday squad as Lincoln City beat Preston. It lifted them clear of the relegation zone with the hosts dropping down. A goal with ten minutes to go proved to be the difference.

Dan Gore played the full 90 minutes as Luton Town lost to Stevenage. It was a game marked by controversial decisions as Jack Wiltshire saw red for protesting the opening goal. It saw them drop out of the playoff spots. Gore had a decent passing record but was unable to contribute much in an attacking sense.

Jayce Fitzgerald came off the bench for Rotherham United drew with Salford. In a wild game, the home side were two down after half an hour. They then found themselves in front against ten men with twenty minutes to go. A penalty from the visitors secured the point. Fitzgerald came on for the last ten minutes. He had an effort on goal and decent tackling record in that time.

Scottish League

Jacob Devaney started on the bench as Hibs beat Ross County. It was a welcome result given their recent performances. All three goals came in the opening 40 minutes to put the game beyond their League One hosts. He was generally tidy in his time on the pitch. He did pick up a booking though.

Jack Moorhouse did not feature as St. Johnstone lost to Celtic. The defending champions found it difficult throughout and were grateful for the single goal. The hosts are still having a decent season so far.

It was another tough afternoon for Greenock Morton. They lost 4-1 at home to Livingston yesterday. Elyh Harrison is still looking for a first clean sheet. The hosts have now slipped to the bottom of the table.

Non League

Southport lost 2-0 to Worksop to come back down to earth with a bump. Honor Soloman was not involved in the matchday squad. It puts them perilously close to the relegation zone.
