Action has been light on our side in the past few weeks, due to cup action. We have been having longer than usual time off between games. Other reds players have been busier though with some playing two games or more in a week. Here is an update on how they got on.
Europe
Here is where some of the higher profile stars that are seeking paths elsewhere.
Marcus Rashford was in Champions League action as they took on Newcastle at St. James Park in the first-leg. They rescued a draw in the very last minute as Lamine Yamal netted a penalty. Rashford played the last 20 minutes as they attempted to get a breakthrough. He was unable to replicate his two-goal haul at the ground as he accomplished in the League phase though. He was rested on Sunday as they returned to La Liga duty. A 5-2 win at the Nou Camp keeps them four points clear of Real Madrid.
Rasmus Hojlund played the full 90 as Napoli beat Lecce 2-1 at home. It keeps them in the chase for Champions League football next season. He scored the equaliser just after half-time as the home side came back from an early deficit.

Andre Onana’s Trapzonspor side stayed third in the standings as they beat Rizespor at home. He also claimed a rare clean sheet in the 1-0 win.
Lausanne saw their winning run come to an end on Sunday as they lost 2-0 at home to Young Boys. Enzo Kana-Biyik came on for the ten men side with eight minutes left.
Premier League
Jadon Sancho was not eligible to play against us due to stipulations in his loan deal. Aston Villa continue to go backwards as they went down 3-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
SPL
Jacob Devaney played the full 90 minutes for St. Mirren as they narrowly lost to title chasing Glasgow Rangers. He was unable to have a shot on target but his passing stats were an impressive 95%. They remain just outside of the relegation zone at the moment.
Ethan Williams did not have much of an impact as Falkirk drew 1-1 with Aberdeen away on Saturday. He came on for the last fifteen minutes as they were chasing the game at that time. A late equaliser means that they can still finish in the top six.
EFL
Harry Amass remains out injured at Norwich City. He has returned to Old Trafford for checks on his hamstring damage.
Radek Vitek’s Bristol City slipped to yet another defeat on Tuesday as they lost away to struggling Leicester City. He did make a few important saves early in the game but he was unable to prevent the two goals before half-time. He had more of an impact on Saturday though. He pulled off a number of great saves to frustrate Middlesbrough at The Riverside. His presence in the box in the final minute helped them snatch a last-gasp equaliser.
Toby Collyer came off the bench for Hull City as they won away to play-off rivals Wrexham. He played the last eight minutes plus injury time at the Racecourse to help them over the line. He did get booked in that time as well. He failed to see any action on Saturday as they were stunned 3-0 by relegation threatened West Brom.
Ethan Wheatley started up front for Bradford City at Port Vale. He was left frustrated to have not seen his first goal for the club in the 2-0 victory. He had five efforts with the goalkeeper pulling off four saves. It was a more difficult afternoon on Saturday as they went down 2-0 to Wigan Athletic. It was a result that had big impact at both ends of the table. He came off at half-time with his one shot being saved.
Gabriele Biancheri came off the bench as Rotherham United let a two-goal lead slip at home to Bolton Wanderers. It will do little to assist their relegation plight. He was unable to have much impact in his little time on the pitch. Dan Gore was not in the matchday squad.
James Scanlon was not in the matchday squad as Swindon Town went down at home to promotion rivals MK Dons. They fall further behind the automatic promotion places.
Ethan Ennis played the full 90 as Fleetwood threw away a two-goal lead at home to Cheltenham Town on Tuesday. He had one shot on goal himself and provided the assist for the second just before half-time. He should have done better at home to relegation threatened Tranmere Rovers on Saturday. He shot over at the back-post when in a good position. It was otherwise a dismal 0-0.

It is clear to see that some are performing better than others at the moment.
