A look at how the on-loan reds have been getting on

The leagues across Britain and Europe are up and running. Here is a look at

Europe

Celta Vigo kicked off their La Liga season with a hard fought 0-0 at Valencia. Both sides had opportunities but lacked a cutting edge to force the breakthrough. Altay Bayinder was on the bench in his first match day appearance.

Andre Onana started as Trabzonspor claimed their first win in Super Lig. The difference between them and visitors Istanbul Basaksehir was the goals of Mohamed Salah. He scored either side of a penalty from the away side. For the second week in a row, Onana was denied a clean sheet by a spot kick.

Lausanne kicked off their Swiss League season with a narrow loss away to Lucerne. The away side found themselves one down after only three minutes on a ground they have struggled in recent years. They did manage to create some opportunities in the second-half, but their finishing was lacking. Sekou Kone started the game, but was taken off in the 58th minute. He did not manage to make much of an impression on the game.

Scottish League

The bad start to the season Greenock Morton has continued. Injuries, a squad lacking in experience and off-field concerns have all contributed towards fan worries. The squad depth is shallow and desperate for new faces. They looked to have gained their first point of the season on Saturday at home to Arbroath. A 93rd minute goal consigned them to yet another loss though. Elyh Harrison has played in all three games.

Non League

Southport claimed their first win of the season as they comfortably overcame Bedford Town. Leading two-nil in the first half, they conceded just before the break. Further goals in the second period ultimately decided the contest. Honor Soloman would have been disappointed to not claim a clean sheet. He could not help prevent the goal though. It moves them up into more of a respectable position in the table.
