The league seasons across Europe are coming towards a conclusion. Titles, European qualification, promotion and relegation are all still to be decided. The loan players from Manchester United still have a part to play in that. Here is an update on how they got on in the past week.
It was an international with several countries desperately trying to secure World Cup qualification and more involved in warm-up games. Some more were involved in league action though.
International
Rasmus Hojlund played 81 minutes as Denmark swept aside North Macedonia in their semi-final in Copenhagen. He did not have the best of games though. None of his three efforts were on target. It was not needed in their 4-0 win however. He forced former reds keeper, Matej Kovar, into three saves in the final in Prague on Tuesday. He was guilty of hitting the bar in the penalty shoot-out as Denmark missed out on their first World Cup since 2014. It is a huge blow to a nation who would have been highly fancied to qualify with ease.
Radek Vitek will be hoping that increased game time will help him get called up to the World Cup squad. It will be a tough call given he is yet to be capped at senior level.
Marcus Rashford featured in both of England’s warm-up games against Uruguay and Japan. He is still considered to be in contention with Anthony Gordon for the left-wing position in the side. He demonstrated some bright moments in the first game but did not have much time to impress in the second. English fans were not happy with the overall team performance in both games.
Jacob Devaney played the full 90 minutes in Republic of Ireland under-21 game on Thursday. They were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Moldova. He helped create three opportunities in the game along with a booking. He was recalled by St. Mirren from the squad who won late in Kazhakhstan. They can ill afford too many more dropped points if they are to qualify for the 2027 Euros.

Ethan Ennis played the full game on Saturday as Fleetwood drew 1-1 away to play-off hopefuls Swindon Town. It was a busy display again by the young winger as they kept up their faint hopes of reaching the play-offs themselves. He forced a decent save from his three efforts on goal. He also created three opportunities.
James Scanlon did not feature for the home side. He did come off the bench as they drew away to Cambridge United on Thursday. The young striker was unable to make much of an impact in his 16 minutes on the pitch.
