Youngster joins from Spurs
Manchester United have announced the signing of Tynan Thompson from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The winger has joined on a fee that could rise to £8M depending on add-ons. There is also a sell-on clause included in the deal as well.
The 18-year-old has been at Tottenham since 2024 after joining their youth side. He scored 13 goals and provided six assists across the underage levels from U-18’s to U-21’s. This included seven goals in seven games in UEFA Youth League. His form also saw him involved in several first-team squads.
The qualities that have made him such an exciting prospect including bravery under pressure, versatility in positions, ability to find space between the lines and excellent close control.
It is expected the signing will be for United’s underage side, but that has not been declared yet. It has also not been announced whether he will be joining up with the touring pre-season squad ahead of their game in Norway.
The length of the contract has not been stated. His squad number is going to be 54.
