Goalkeeper departs on loan
Manchester United have announced that Dermot Mee has signed a new contract at the club.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has extended his stay with us for another two years. He was one of the players out of contract at the end of the season that was part of the retained list.
The Birmingham born Northern Ireland underage international has been at the club since the age of 11. He signed a senior contract in 2021 and has represented the underage sides at all levels up to the under-21’s. His form has also seen him take part in senior training with the first team goalkeepers.

He was rumoured to be starting a first team game against Leicester due to Andre Onana being ill. The latter recovered in time though. He has also spent time out on loan with the likes of Trafford, Runcorn, Witton and Altrincham.
He is part of the squad currently on tour for pre-season.
Meanwhile, Solomon Honor has left on loan to Southport for the forthcoming season.
The former England and Manchester City youth keeper joined us from Blackburn Rovers in February on a free transfer.
The Merseyside based club who compete in National League North announced the arrival on their social media page. He has already featured in one of their pre-season games against Fleetwood Town.
We wish him the best for the season to come.
